Villa Arya a serene, relaxing environment with lushly landscaped grounds, spacious rooms in the large, main building as well as the more secluded unique quarters in the Geladag, an antique hand carved, traditional Javanese wooden building re-created from recycled teak wood by the owner Kadek Arie, a renowned Balinese architect who has been the architect of Pandawa villas, Villa Shanti,Villa Markisa, Villa uma Anyar, Villa Soul Shine, Villa Satori, Villa living Light Bali and many private residences
The main building with its dramatic central living room is beautifully decorated with antiques, carved stonewalls and a splendid painted ceiling depicting the traditions and religion of Bali. All four bedrooms in the main house have air conditioning, Queen-size beds with fine linens, fans and luxurious bathrooms filled with tropical plants and natural stones or marble.
Villa Arya is stylish and modern residence with 5 star hotel amenities but has the added charm of being at heart an authentic Balinese home with a family temple where you can see daily flower and food offerings to the Gods and witness other local events. Kadek’s wife,Yuni, can advise you on special temples to visit, holy water cleansing ceremonies and where to go for the best traditional dances and other events not in tourist guide books.
